Man, I really wish I didn't have to wait until January to see writer/director David Goyer's possession tale The Unborn. This is a PG-13 movie but judging by the above trailer, it looks like it's got the right stuff. And by the 'right stuff', I mean an old man in a hospital johnny doing an Exorcist-style crab walk. You can have Quarantine, Saw V, and Molly Hartley - take 'em all. None of them says 'Halloween' to me like Gary Oldman screaming at a dog sporting a creepy mask.

Kind of looks like a remake of some Asian horror film I'm not familiar with enough to recognize.
Like 'The Grudge' put through a blender.
Not that that means it might not be a whole lot of gruesome fun.
Yeah, I agree that The Unborn doesn't look like it'll rate high on originality but it looks more entertaining than anything else that's coming out this October. Maybe it's just a sign of my age more than anything else but this is the first Halloween where none of the theatrical releases appeal to me.
